NZCCSS has submitted on the Residential Tenancies Amendment Bill that is currently before the Social Services Select Committee.

The legislation introduces minimum standards for rental housing.

The key message of the NZCCSS submission is that the proposed changes are disappointing, not likely to achieve the desired result, and ignore the wealth of evidence from research that demonstrates that social, health and economic benefits of higher standards are well above the initial costs.
