Nikki Hurst, Executive Officer of New Zealand Christian Social Services, is deeply concerned about the potential funding cuts from Oranga Tamariki. The agency has notified hundreds of charities and NGOs that their contracts may not be guaranteed beyond the next three to six months.

Oranga Tamariki is undergoing restructuring, which could lead to adjustments and reductions in funded services. More clarity is expected by mid-July, but the uncertainty is alarming, especially as demand for services is at an all-time high.
