Round three of the Local Innovation and Partnership Fund is now open. The $16.6 million supports local work and projects that respond to and prevent homelessness.

The Fund aims to support community organisations, local government, iwi and wider community partners to work together to address homelessness

Among other aims, the Fund prioritises applications that support approaches seeking to reduce reliance on motels for emergency or transitional housing and ending or reducing the most acute forms of homelessness e.g., street homelessness.

The application period closes on 31 January 2023

Fund administrators, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, has produced a Guide for organisations applying for funds. The Guide explains eligibility to apply, the principles and priorities guiding HUD’s funding decisions and an explanation of the assessment process.
