Neighbours Day on 19-20 March is all about connecting with your neighbours to make stronger and safer neighbourhoods and communities.

Neighbours Day Aotearoa is a collaborative campaign organised and supported by LifewiseInspiring Communities, The Mental Health Foundation, Neighbourhood Support NZ and Public Libraries of NZ.

The event began in Auckland in 2009 and was the inspiration of Lifewise, Takapuna Methodist Church and driven by Rebecca Harrington – passionate community advocate.

Today, Neighbours Day is celebrated in diverse communities across the country and participation is growing every year.

Check out suggestions for Neighbours Day activities and be inspired to get to know your neighbours and find out what’s going on in your neighbourhood.
