Lisa Woolley

Congratulations go to Lisa Woolley, CEO, VisionWest for winning the Outstanding Achievement Award for Professional Excellence in Housing of the New Zealand division of the Australasian Housing Institute Awards (AHIA) and the Overall AHIA winner, 2015, announced in Perth on 28th October.

AHIA began in 2004 and is awarded to housing professionals who are judged to have made a significant and lasting difference to tenants or service users, to their community, to their colleagues and to their profession.

Lisa has been working for Vision West Community Trust for 16 years, and CEO for the last 13 years, and is described as ‘passionate about community development and addressing social issues such as poverty, marginalisation, unemployment and homelessness’.

Lisa’s recent award completes a successful year of accolades reflecting Lisa’s outstanding professional skills and contribution to social housing:

  • Excellence in Business Leadership at the Westpac Auckland West Business Awards 2014
  • Best of the Best: Excellence in Business Leadership in the Westpac Auckland Wide Business Awards 2014
  • Regional Hero Medal award, Kiwibank New Zealander of the Year Awards 2015
  • Outstanding Achievement for Professional Excellence in Housing, New Zealand regional category, Australasian Housing Institute Social Housing Awards 2015
  • Outstanding Achievement for Professional Excellence in Housing, Australasia Wide Overall winner, Australasian Housing Institute Social Housing Awards 2015

Lisa is also the current President of the New Zealand Council of Christian Social Services.
