Social Development Minister Anne Tolley launched the Canterbury Children’s Team last Thursday 3 December and shared a special cake for the occasion!

This is the ninth Children’s Team to go live. Counties Manukau will be the tenth to be established in March next year.

Like Hamilton, the Canterbury Children’s Team will introduce the Vulnerable Children’s Hub into Canterbury as the contact point for children’s workers to call if they have concerns about a child.

Practitioners and professionals working with the Children’s Team will also be using the information management system ViKI (Vulnerable Kids Information System).
